"Baroque" was born in Italy in the 16th century and was originally an art style derived from distorted pearls imported from Spain.

The beauty of the irregular yet simple and individualistic expression of these pearls quickly became the object of admiration among the ladies of the time, and it is needless to say that they were very popular in France and other parts of Europe.

We asked a craftsman in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, which is also the local industry of artificial pearls, if we could somehow create a series of products under the MIONO brand in Japan with the shapes that were popular in those good old days, and we succeeded in creating the Coco Tanishi mold using glass pearls.

The glass rods were melted and shaped by hand by skilled craftsmen into a kokotanishi baroque shape, and then painted by skilled craftsmen who have worked on pearls for many famous European and U.S. brands.

The pearls are the result of Japanese craftsmen's persistence, and we have succeeded in bringing out the best of the "shine, luster, and brilliance" that is the charm of pearls.
